I’m an Omaha native now living in Kansas. Why Kansas? Well, I moved to get back into radio, stayed here to start and raise a family.

I’ve wanted to be in radio since I was 9. Back then, listening to Royals broadcasters Denny Matthews and Fred White, I didn’t anticipate becoming a news director. But that’s what has happened.

I’m now into my 17th year in media, whether it be radio news, sports or DJ work, hosting a drive-time news magazine program in Nebraska’s capital city and relaying the news that’s fit to broadcast for the Flint Hills of Kansas over that time. That includes a three-year stint in print as a writer, editor and copy editor.

I’m in my seventh year as a family man, something I cherish and marvel about on a daily basis.

My interests include sports (baseball, hockey and football, mostly), music and severe weather. Hey — it’s the Midwest, so you had better get used to the weather here.

Expect blogs about all sorts of stuff: sports, severe weather, work and home observations, our world at large, our world here at home and just life in general.

Hope you enjoy.
